Many Us citizens feel entitled to a grand life style.
No one is entitled to earn more for a service or a product because of nationality.
The US was not built on free loaders enjoying a grand life style.
As for education , it is never a wast.

As for you guys in Eastern Europe who are educated but have difficulty finding paying employment.
I have a friends here in Southern Africa , Serbs , Pols , Croatians that have come here with nothing.
They have all done very well as there is a large shortage of skills.
Most own their own businesses with in a few years.

it is really funny to see discussion about Socialistic regime between two people who never lived in socialistic country. I was born in USSR!

anyway ProduceHauler pays attention on real peoblems.But is is not all.

The problem of all socialistic regimes is high social obligations. They say we solve all your problem and as result high taxes and as it was called in USSR - social equalisation hated with many really smart people. and for average citizan it is no reason to be smarter, better others! As a small USSR model Belorrussia with Lucashenko goes to the deep crisis.

US system is not so good too. There are many hidden traps, but USA did one good thing - Goverment helps scientists. Higher then in Europe level of Sciense, especially in sociology, economics and computer modeling saved USA from ruining many times and keep saving now! European system may fail! EU may change!

USSR and Russia now will never be the superstate, becouse they loose science race. The problem is that Goverment do not want to pay scientists and they do not want to keep working in Russia. They will work in China ore in the USA.

As result Russia may be destroyed and be a number of smaller countries

Because there was no priority paid to education.The indigenous people saw it as colonialist indoctrination (Some of it was).A lot of the educated minority have left after the socialist (They say they are democratic/capitalistic)government took over.
With South Africa been the only industrialized country in Africa and the whole region developing there is a shortage of skills.You wont find a job in government but if you have skills and drive it is easier here then most places.

You know over here a lot of people were forced to do it for them self or starve.The problem is that our government pretends to not to be socialist but they mostly are.For now it is still a picking field if you have technical skills.

It is the result of privileged position of party members and total equalisation.

In USSR we had limited choise of everething. THEY decided for people where to live, what cars to ride, where to travel. WE HAD SOMETHING LIKE VISA SYSTEM TO LEAVE COUNTRY.

 

scania is good money maker maybe parts are not so available here as for other brands ( we have dealers but there is no such places with cheaper parts like for other brands , otherwise scania is excellent truck....

not everywhere but my country is pretty poor and truck business will be even worse when we get in European union because cheap east countries will destroy us ( poland romania bulgaria) they drive 0.9$ per mille which is 2.5x less than lowest possible price here , they destroyed germany austria and lot of other countries

our way of socialism was lot softer you can buy whatever you want live where you want my father always had BMW drive mercedes/man trucks you could travel normal my father even worked in germany and was owner operator in germany for 3years and today if you ask somebody 95% of people will again want YU only 5% dont want this because they stole money.....
