Some watch too much TV. Unless you screw over the drug dealer or let a prostitute in your room, they are as harmless as that Palmetto bug running around his room.
I'm sure he's exagerating a little bit too.

Hopefully he graduated by now. When I went through my training, you didn't go home until you finished training. That was part of the training itself. Bunch of softies, lol. :)

I think he just needed for EVERYONE to assure him all was OK in the world.

As you can see from 1 of his posts a few weeks ago , he does not CLICK with his TRAINER .

"Honestly why would people become a trainer if they get frustrated and pissed off at every single thing? No good ######## just like sitting back and making money off of every mile you drive. My trainer doesn't teach me ####, he will grab the Qualcomm and type everything in, or just say "macro 8, enter, employee #...." doesn't stop and explain what we are doing and why. He just wants to run hard and make money; not teach. ####### dick ####### son of a ##### trainer. Uggggggg I'm ready to quit after a week but can't because I'll never get another trucking job without the exp. Sorry for the rant. Just depressed, homesick, and frustrated. "

    Ditto.

Look folks, just because someone wants to become a Truck Driver (or "Commodities Relocation Specialist" as I like to say) does NOT mean they are dirt and should have to "suck up" inhuman conditions, dirty unsafe surroundings, and piss poor treatment. I'm not sure where the assumption that truck drivers are all dirty low-class bums came from, but I would say that for the MOST part, it is far from the truth. Yes, there is always that 10% that is an exception.

If any company puts you into a hotel or neighborhood while a co-driver is on hometime that is dirty, unsafe, full of bugs of ANY kind, and crawling with drug dealers and prostitutes, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE and let the company know you are doing so. I'd rather pay for better accommodations myself and nag the company to reimburse me for the next year than put up with that kind of atmosphere, and I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps!

######, truck drivers are NOT the scum of the earth and it's about #### time every driver starts demanding a little more respect than that!

who in the world goes into a motel, sees that its in a bad part of town and lays there with the curtains open, then opens the door and lets them in the room??????

it seems to me a general lack of common sense for the most part.

True, but I'm giving the OP the benefit of the doubt that he had enough sense to NOT do those two things.

I think their was a lot more to the story then what he has said. In that neighborhood I wouldn't even open the door for the Police.

    Well said, Devil Dog!!!

I couldn't agree more. It is sad that so many of us put up with the sub-human treatment just because of the very few that have earned it!

(That being said, there is some sort of perverse, masochistic pride that some people have wherein they derive pleasure out of being treated like dog excrement! )
