Not at all like Werner. System drivers get these "bonuses" to compensate for lost miles.

Mileage pay is pretty much equal throughout Schneider. Except for select instances.

I can make as much (often more) running short haul over the weekend, as the driver who got a 1500 mile run for the weekend.

Many times my DBL/Dispatcher will stack several short runs on me, to bring my check up to my expected level of pay for the week. It's a win-win situation.

For the first time since I started driving for SNI I won't be home on my scheduled dates. I sat from 1300 yesterday to 1200 today waiting for a load. I finally got one but its appointment isn't until 0830 03/05. It goes north 744 miles to Kent WA, 140 miles north of the Portland OC (my home terminal), and has to be up there by 1000 03/06. I'm scheduled to be home on the 5th, and take the 6th and 7th off so I can do my taxes.

LOL me either. But I'm sure I'm going to be getting a call real soon about it.

It's one of several "reasons" I've used for the computer generated BS late indicator.

I mean hell if I told you it was impossible for me to get there by 1500. And said I would be there at 1800, and I got there at 1730. I'm early.

I thought I'd look it up and see. Maybe it's slang? Anyways, here's the dictionary definition of "heel":

1 a : the back of the human foot below the ankle and behind the arch
b : the part of the hind limb of other vertebrates that is homologous with the human heel
    2
: an anatomical structure suggestive of the human heel; especially : the part of the palm of the hand nearest the wrist

    3
: one of the crusty ends of a loaf of bread

    4
a : the part (as of a shoe) that covers the human heel b : a solid attachment of a shoe or boot forming the back of the sole under the heel of the foot

    5
: a rear, low, or bottom part: as a : the after end of a ship's keel or the lower end of a mast b : the base of a tuber or cutting of a plant used for propagation c : the base of a ladder

    6
    : a contemptible person

    ' heel·less adjective
' by the heels : in a tight grip

' down at heel or down at the heel : in or into a run-down or shabby condition

' on the heels of : immediately following

    ' to heel 1
    : close behind

    2
    : into agreement or line

' under heel : under control or subjection

I'm guessing #6, a contemptible person that you had to deal with? LOL

I thought I remember reading somewhere SNI does a phone interview with you after you apply followed up by a medical interview via phone?

If this is the case, it has only been a year since my back surgery. I am running around and doing fine and passed the DOT physical a couple weeks ago. Anyone think this will be a problem since only a year has passed? I can do everything required on the physical evaluation.

Unreported heel is something to do with bulk.

I'm going with #3, I was late because all I had left to make a sandwich were the heels of my loaf of bread, so I had to go 100 miles out of route to buy some new bread!

I can't recall a medical interview. Other than that BS sleep apnea questionnaire.

As long as you can pass the medical, it shouldn't be an issue IMO
