sitting BT at a shell ex 267 I94 wisconsin. target had ZERO mt available. Wasnt waiting around for yard dogs to pull what I guessed were mts from the docks,. At that time I had 27 min lefton my 11 and like 30ish left on my 14. Made it to this TS with 10 min drive time left!!! thank the trucking gods that there were several open spaces at 2130!!!!

Now the question is, how do I get an mt for my next load seeing how its a live load!!!!!!! It loads in Racine, so I assume I can grab an mt out of the sturtevant drop yard? Only trouble is support seems to think we did away with Qcomm messageing. I think my DBL did too. havent had a reply in a couple days. OH they'll send one if THEY have a question, but answer?

Requesting an mt through the WF message system brings up the loc id for the PU loc. since we have NO new punkin pads, we dont have updated WF id's.

ANY ideas? other than calling in in the morning?

I still do not understand why so many people have issues with workflow. I have found 1 or 2 bugs. But I also found out how to resolve those issues.

Well ####! The load I'm on was a 1026 mile run from Longview WA to City of Industry CA. I picked it up yesterday at 1030. Its appointment was scheduled at 1500 on the 29th, tomorrow. Im 86 miles from the customer and just stoped for the night. I just noticed that the appointment for delivery had been changed from 1500 tomorrow to 0700 on the 30th......... I get to sit here all day tomorrow........

Also, I'm going to be about an hour short of a 34 hour restart by the time I have to leave......... I could use a restart as well....

    Sturtevant LocID is 2177052.

As for getting an empty there, don't get your hopes up. When I came off time at home on Tuesday the yard was pretty empty. There are usually a few trailers there with stuff in them that don't have seals so make sure you check insides before requesting it.

    Side note:

I found out yesterday that it is possible to plug in most USB keyboard/mouse combos on the Qualcomm units. Much more useful than using the touch screen with a pen and the tiny keyboard built in.

I can say with certainty, you have not been hit with all the bugs....yet. And you won't "fix" certain issues without outside help.

Timing is critical for resolving some of the known issues (certain people must be at work to resolve). And the weekend, is a bad day for some drivers.

One critical issue, can not be resolved by the driver. And based on the answers I received from no less than 8 other drivers** this past weekend, neither can "tech support" resolve it. I know for a fact, this is true. I've already experienced this malfunction, twice.

What happens: The driver gets a load, or multiple loads. The NAT is set and can be altered up to a certain point. Later, there is an issue with the load. And it cancels or gets modified.

The powers that be, regardless of their position in the food chain, take it upon themselves to remove/modify the load. But they fail to modify the current NAT in doing so. Now the drivers NAT is locked and can not be altered by the driver or tech support.

The result: The driver is forced to call tech support, who refers them to their DBL, who then refers them to tech support.

Your DBL is the correct person. But only if they know what to do.

This is a coding issue within workflow.

In simplifying this issue: Pretend your load is a $5 bill. You insert it into a change machine. That machine is hard coded to spit out 20 quarters. It will not give you 4, then call it even.

The machine is programmed to give you 20 quarters, or spit your $5 bill back out. If it doesn't do either....nobody but a trained person WITH a key can get your money back. Tech support is NOT authorized to modify a load. Hence the need for your DBL to get properly trained.

** I directed these drivers to a person I knew could correct the issue. Unfortunately, this person was off for the weekend.

Are you on WF yet ??

One thing I've noted, is you'll get a computer generated delivery time that matches the ETA. But it does not match the companies "stated" hours of operation. In which case, the delivery time will get modified later in the trip by CS.

Best to check the "info" tab for hours of operation, then fire off a freeform to the DBL for clarification of delivery times.

That info screen has been a real time saver for me. Especially when Del times don't match the stated hours of operation.

Of course, all that is useless if the hours of operation are wrong !!!

Then go to Green Bay and tell them how to operate the system. Workflow cannot handle certain scenarios.

    dancnoone Thanks this.
