It's not a bad drive at all this time of year. And there are plenty of places to stop. ;)

I hope so, my truck stop guide says otherwise LOL.

I just don't think I am gonna have fun with 44k of liquid beverage in the trailer running up there, with only 9 hours to go 450 miles.

Oh yea, 395 is a great drive this time of year. There are a few places to stop along the way. A couple small rest areas that arnt shown in the atlas, some dirt pull outs/lots here and there.

    jakecat22 Thanks this.

Not very many hills either, mainly runs through the valley between the Sierra Nevadas and White Mountains. There are a couple grades though.

There's a nice rest area up in the mountains somewhere near mammoth lakes, I believe its north of mammoth lakes on the southbound side. Nice place to stop if you can't make it to reno or if it gets a bit uncomfortable in the dark (395 gets a bit twisty and hilly pretty much from mammoth lakes to Nevada).

Got a preassignment, don't pick up until tomorrow morning though. Then headed down to Irwindale CA. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm headed down to Fontana to trade in this old POS.

turning into a peepoor week for miles. Contemplating a change to a dedicated account. Great accessoral pay. dont have to hunt mt's. always a round trip. downside is adjusting the sleep schedule.
