Well, I feel like a massive idiot right now for actually trusting navigo. It led me right to the front door of Boise Lumber, where I sat and waited for 2 hours until I went to check and none of my pickup numbers worked. So I called in to support shift and went back and forth until about half an hour trying to get the right pickup number with no luck. Ended up being told to wait until tomorrow morning to try again. Before I left I realized that I was at Boise lumber (picked up here before) and not at Sierra Pine like it says on my assignment. A quick Google map search confirmed that I was at the wrong mill and was supposed to a mile down the that I came down..... Doesn't help that I'm delivering to a place called royal plywood, therefore I assumed I was picking up plywood and Boise specializes in plywood. Turns out I'm picking up someother kind of sheet wood (can't remember what its called), at a place that doesn't make plywood.I'm such a ####### lol.

Best part about it is I sent support shift on a wild goose chase looking for a pickup number that doesn't exist. :biggrin_25523:

So I have a few questions.. I originally worked at roehl 3 months over the road, company was ok i just didnt like being gone so long.. Then I got a job as a delivery driver for pepsi driving in chicago for a year and a half.. Very physical job stacking pop and rolling stacks and merchandising stores while sometimes running routes in places like englewood and garfield park.. It could take 2 hours in rush hour traffic to get home. So i figured if I'm busting my ### I might as well do it at a job closer to my house.. So I got a job at Kozol Brothers (Miller Distributor) doing the same kind of work, But only its twice as hard!!! At Pepsi I'd come in to work and the trucks would be pre loaded and ready to go and I'd put in 50-60 hours a week.. At miller they dont have a warehouse crew so you not only deliver the beer, you also build the pallets in the warehouse and load your own trucks.. At pepsi the average route was 550 cases, at miller its 900-1,000 cases.. The week before memorial day my route did 7,500 cases for the week and i worked 80 hours!!!..

So this is where Schneider comes in.. I applied for a local intermodel position in chicago.. I got a phone interview, then the following week i got a face to face interview.. Then yesterday they completed my backround check and offered me the job... I need to know if this is a good job to have and if the company is ok to work for? i have 3 months at roehl, a year and a half at pepsi, but only 2 months at my current job. I do not want to appear to be a job hopper so if i take this job, no matter what id have to force myself to be there for atleast 2-3 years even if i hate it.. So is Schneider worth the risk?? I do need a change quick, my back is killing me, my knees are killing me.. before this job i worked out 3-4 days a week but now i dont have the energy.. I'm miserable, I feel like i hate my life even though it's just my job, but the job has become my life.. I was pulling about 50 grand a year at pepsi doing hard labor , but not rediculous labor.. I only grossed 1,300 for my memorial week at miller for working 80 hours!! I'd be happy making 900-1,000 a week at 50-60 hours... Ugh I'm babbling I just don't know what to do.. any advice?

I did the same work here with AAA Cooper. Unlike other terminals that had dock hands.... We didn't here in Odessa. We had to plan the routes ourselves, unload the inbound, sort and load our own trailers plus tun our route with anywhere from 15 stops on a slow day to 35 on a busy. Not including our pickups and unloading when we got back, then loading the outbound for Dallas. Ya. Soooo didn't pay enough at 17.85 hr starting. With crap equipment at that!!!!!
