I thought Schneider was like 90-95% drop & hook. Seems 90% of my loads are live/live.

Hm. I wonder how I can avoid this situation in the future. I got a water load from Red Boiling Springs, TN to Chesapeake, VA to a Walmart. Arrival time was for 15:39 today, but appointment time, with a 180 minute special services time of 180 minutes - appointment being at 01:00am. However, when I got here (no matter how I worked it), I only had 2ish hours left on my 11. So, even though I have a few hours to spend on my 11 today, I could not get unloaded early, or in time before my 11 expires. The CRAPPY thing about it is that I need a reset. I should have 2 hours left on my 70 after unload at 01:00. So, essentially, I have 48 hours of sitting around with my thumb up my, ahem, before I can get another load.

Not that I won't enjoy a nice extended break after this newb just broke her back trying to get here by the ETA given by Schneider - through the Smokey Mountains and all, but it sure seems like I could have done something different. This is only my 3rd week out, ever, as a truck driver, so I'm not trying to get down on myself too much for my scheduling faux paus.

Oragonads, not sure where you heard that, but it sure would be nicer if there was more D&H. What limited experience I have with the company, I can see what you're saying. Maybe more like 80-85% for me thus far though.

My husband has been with Schneider 2 months. He is in his third week otr by himself. He was promised a minimum of .29 a mile and $1.00 on shorthaul miles. He's had nothing but problems. Given nasty truck with diabetic stuff everywhere and three inches of pet hair, more broken than working things. His dbl didn't tell him but ended up being on vacation his whole first week. His fill in doesn't want to do anything. He wants to switch to the Indy OC because it is only 3 hours to our house whereas Obetz is 5 hours. Indy says its possible. DBL says it's not. His last paycheck was $16.00 I can't find a number for his operations number or anyone to talk to and he's ready to walk! Anyone have any advice for finding contact information? How do we go over his unhelpful dbl's head. Also recruiter is not an option as he is almost worse than dbl. Promised a non existant $2500 sign on bonus, and never returns phone calls ever.

Have him look into the employee handbook under "Fair and Equitable Treatment" policy. Should be page 11 I think. The dispute process is laid out. Ultimately you'll have to go to your DBL's supervisor next if the DBL doesn't respond. And talk to them in person, don't expect to get much done over the phone.
