I didn't get that message, my fuel solution today had me fuel at a T/A, an tomorrow I am fueling at a T/A.

I haven't fueled at a PFJ in over 3 days LOL.

I have NEVER, let me say that again, NEVER had a loves on my fuel solution.

Fuel solution?? What does that mean? When I read that, it makes me think that your trip route is already created for you, including when and where to fuel at? Is that pretty accurate?

Schneider is so far the top of my list because they have dedicated routes in my area (Indy), a training center there, only a week on the road with a trainer, and they work with the VA so I can get my GI Bil payments while I am driving to make up for the low first year driver wages.

when you are assigned a load, and accept it, it asks you how much fuel you have, then it creates a fuel solution with where the company wants you to fuel, based on your fuel level and the prices of fuel on your route. So yes, your route is created for you.

Do you have to follow it? No, but if you don't keep your fuel solution above 70% then you don't get a bonus.

Does it automatically take into consideration how many hours you have available to drive before it offers a load or does the driver have to calculate that into consideration before deciding whether or not to accept?

"it" doesn't offer the load, load planners do, and yes, they are "supposed" to consider how many hours you have available, but after hours support tends to overlook that, I never have a problem during the week, only when I get loads on the weekends.

Take today for example, told them I would have 6 hours left on my 14 when i was done unloading, which would be 5pm. They send me a load that needs picked up by 2300 tonight, but I have to dead head 300 miles to get it. Now, I am not a math major, but 300 miles, and 6 hours, in a 60 mph truck, with no truck stops anywhere around where I am picking up means I can probably make the pick up, but can't find a safe place to park afterwords, so I told them I would pick it up in the morning. After they realized their error, they said ok, get it as soon as you can.

Trucking Accident Leads to $36M Award in a Personal Injury Suit
    18 Jul, 2012 16:49 CET
A California jury awarded $36.48 million to an Indian couple who was injured in a trucking accident during a 2010 visit to the state.
Jaishree and Prakash Sheth were traveling on Interstate 10 on March 26, 2010, when a big-rig truck tried to pass their Toyota Camry. Instead, the truck crashed into them, causing their car to spin out of control and hit the median and another vehicle before swerving across the freeway, according to the Associated Press. The car accident left Jaishree Sheth paralyzed and she now requires 24-hour attendant care.
The plaintiffs claimed that the driver of the Schneider National truck had been taking turns with his wife driving for 82 hours straight, according to the AP.
