Had to get the filter regen last night......I was below a 1/4 tank and it wouldn't do a manual regen. Finally filled up and got to the Petro in Lebec, pulled over at the far end of a lot. I never knew a regen would last for 25 minutes and be has loud as a jet up front....thankfully the lot isn't full and no trucks around me.

Did you see flames shooting out the exhaust? Why did you have to? If you have to do a manual regen there's a issue. Truck should do so it on its own

I'm sure it will be covered in orientation but how do you know when you should slide the tandems?

I didn't have enough fuel.....I could hear the relay switching on and off for the auto regen until the light started flashing. I went ahead and pulled over tried doing the manual regen, didn't work. I filled up at Lost Hills, pulled into Lebec, tried it again, and it worked.

I didn't know that, no wonder it sounded different compared to the Detroit 60's....

Home Depot requires you to slide your tandems before entering their yards as do other shippers and receivers that deal with heavy loads. It prevents the rear of the trailer from buckling from all the weight. Observing state bridge laws and what not, heavy loads and tandem sliding go hand in hand together or as a rookie, thats what I've come to find out.

    Bigdubber Thanks this.
