Picked this load up at P&G Wednesday night. It has 2 deliveries outside of Sacramento. I sat from 0330 to 2030 on the 21st waiting for my delivery appointments. My nat and eta has been set the same since i picked this load up. I didnt get a preassignment until i left to deliver. My preassignment was to deadhead to Reno to pick up a relay from a driver who is broken down and then deliver 1 mile away at 12:30 on the 22nd. Thats 2 hours after my 14 is up.... Called in to see what was up and they said there gonna pull it off of me.... Support shift needs to pull there heads out of there #####.

To top it all off, my current assignment has dissapeared off my workflow and after 2 attempts by support shift to fix it, its still not there... Also that preassignment has "updated" but has not been removed so i havnt been able to set my nat.....

I updated my preassignment and the system didn't update my NAT. That system is truly flawed, but I think they are trying to fix it.

On a drop and hook load will the Receiver allow the seal to be broke to allow me to retrieve my load straps?

Most don't. I wouldn't bother with them. At your next OC just go ask for couple they'll give a pair.

so, after starting out 2 hours from returning to the DC to drop trailer and pick up loaded one, I run my route(dedicated) and head to this backhaul they assigned me. No big deal, right?

Welllllllllllllllllllll, not so fast. 1100 appt , load ready 1100. I show at 1045 with 3 hours or so left on my 14.could have made it IF it was ready, so no go. Since I was expecting to be home this afternoon, I hadnt brought enough food with me. The ded. acct contract states we will sit for up to 2 hrs to get a backhaul. Guess what, NOT!~!!!! I left with 45 min left on 14. got to Pilot with 5 minutes left.

DBL calls(20 min left on 14 by this point) while I'm driving with an update on this assignment. I stated that 14 was up at XYZ and I wasnt going to do ANY work after. That the load wouldnt be ready before then and they are closed this weekend. That my assignment for monday would allow me to get this load(it would definately be ready , with NO waiting).
That I wasnt too keen on sitting in an industrial area with no facilities or food places within walking distance.
I ask you driver, what would you have done?

Tel your dbl safe and legal. As side note I have spent plenty a night in shady places because customers are dickz. Nothing but water and crackers or nothing at all. Old school trucking.

At seven feathers truck stop. Lumpers are a hit and miss. You get some that bust nuts to unload you and others are lazy. Fortunately, I've had lumpers that got me unloaded fast and the paper work and lumper hot line process would be the timely part. As for the "I'm running out of hours tricks." It was used ONCE at P&G out in Oxnard. They wouldn't load me til 8, my 14 was up at 6. DBL called them and they loaded me with 15 mins left on my 14.
