smt, my guess is u did regular financing so your in good shape as far as that also you can call and should be able to switch trucks but there might be a delay because i'd guess they already started paperwork as they have mine. as far as a new truck me personally i wouldn't want one with def its another cost which isn't recoverable in the rates. Good luck and glad your a pumpkin patch member.

Forgot to ask what kind of miles SNI company drivers average weekly running all 48, dry van.

Maybe I am not looking hard enough but I can't seem to find the pay scale on their website.

largely dependent on what you hire in for. There are different rates for differet divisions, accounts, TAH schedules etc. Look on their jobs website. With no experience you'll need to look at the jobs that accept no expereince drivers.
There are a variety of routes and schedules you can hire into.
I will start at a rate I find reasonable with the schedule I will run but what do I know. My main goal along with earning a livable wage is to get the experience thats so important to open up more opportunities. With this companyor another.

I looked at their website and found trucking school graduate jobs. Says can make 44,000 annual depending on area and experience. I will take that with a few grains of salt. My goal is to gain experience as well but without losing my house. If they are a decent company I would stay there though.

Thank you compman and tennman yall have been very helpful. Although yall just confirmed my fears lol... The main reason i went new was because most of the used truck that i would have been comfortable buying were not going to be ready until late feb or march... The current one i have picked is 146k..... :biggrin_2552: I like the truck and all but the truck payment is 625.06.... Add insurance and escrow im looking at 850 a week easy.... And lets say doing 2500 miles per week w/ avg fuel cost of lets say 3.75 w/ around 7.5 mpg thats another 1250 so theres 2100 plus avg expenses a week.... i usually spend around 150 a week so 2250 plus taxes and all...... My last job i had a truck FL Century that avg 5.8 and the payment was 500 a week hauling a reefer i usually avg. about 1.30 to 1.70 this time of year....(gotta love pilgrims pride lol) But managed to bring home 600-1000 a week depending on how well i could flex the book. But the truck started falling apart like a wet paper sack and this time of year would literally bankrupt you.... I also have a 17 month old son so i dont want to be gone months at a time or only home 3 days a month.... I dont want to drive all the way to GB and have this go wrong and have to drive back.... I dont have the money to waste or time lol. I wished i would've opened my mouth sooner to ya'll but i guess i was to busy reading.... This thread alone keep me up an extra 2 hours last night lol

Youd be better to setbyour average mpg at 6MPG. better to underestimate than over. Are you looking at mileage or choice? I gross $2800 a week and work 4 days, sometimes stretch it over 5 easier days. I net $1200 after all expenses including 10% into maintenance fund. In my opinion thats way too much but i dont like to work hard

If your truckbwas fallingvapart its because you werent maintianing it. Put money into the maintenance fund and dont touch it except for repairs.

Doing choice. Thats why i was curious about the freight rates around the SE and to clarify the last job was complicated lol i was "leasing" the truck from a fleet owner lol (dumb move i know) And everything started tearing up at once, blown radiator, blown motor, fuel line problems, air problems, the clutch, then blown turbo in odessa. So out of 5 months it was down 4 and i couldnt do it anymore. Couldnt fix anything without his consent and the payments kept piling up. And i only really have two bills phone bill which is around 200 a month and a house payment.... 700ish... (thank you honey!!!! :biggrin_25513:) So as long as i can bank at least 1800 a month im fine. She works to and usually takes care of the other bills. And as long as i can be off 4 or 5 days a month.... Or even just home for a night or two a week if i can work the freight that way i'd be fine. Im really worried now and Im kicking myself for waiting this late to open my mouth....

You will need to find you a nice route and schedual runs as tight together as you can. Sni sometimes frowns on keeping the.runs tight.but hell with them, theyre not the.ones paying your bills.
Id still try to get a cheaper truck if you could.

I will look on the board around you to see what i find

There is a bunch of short runs around you for $2.75-$3.40/mi. Thing like dacatur to nashville. Hard part would be getting them back to back you could deadhead one way if you could put the runs together.

I see a few loads from pelham, al to silsbee tx for $1.88/mi thats pretty good and there is a paper mill in silsbee. Theyre heavy loads but pay pretty good

i see a few loads frombrome ga to towanda, ny. There is some decent paying loads out.of.towanda and buffalo which is rare for the northeast. I found a towanda to birmingham and a bunch of.buffalo.to PA
