I will definitely stay in touch on the board. Going with the flow is right down my ally. As a former Seabee, that all we do, we figure it out along the way...because of he LT definitely has no intention idea. Jar-head I do don't get anything on the tellie. Did I send you my new number. Phone number deleted

To finish my previous post, had I driven slower I would of saved about 250 on fuel which goes directly into my pocket. However I drove faster than recommended but not speeding to make the last appointment which I had to do all week in order to make it and I knew this because I pre planned and trip planned correctly so by making up time through out the week I was able to make my last pick up by the latest time which paid me 1257.18 for 500 miles and with the 250 i lost driving faster and the fuel I already had in the truck I was able to pocket 1007.18 (approximately) by just planning ahead. well that and luck that none of the loads cancelled but these were loads I run regularly so I was confident they wouldn't.

My point is if you can Trip plan, Pre plan, stick to plan and watch the load board and learn the freight lanes and cycles you can make more and not have to drive 60 to do it.

MY business plan is based on 7mpg and thats how I book loads so if I can't make money that I'M happy with then I don't book it and the beauty of it is anything over 7mpg is a bonus but not a necessity.

If the only way you're making money is by your fuel savings then you're doing something wrong in my opinion.

Now back to JH's regularly scheduled programming

I blew past one here in Idaho yesterday, I was @ 74 and blew his doors off. I'm guessing he was trying to save fuel and I was empty and the wife was being naughty with some of the things she was sending me. ;) ended up making me move me rear end.

To clear the speed issue on this I said I did drive a little faster but my truck is governed at 70 mph and I generally run the speed limit. As stated I have anywhere between 1 and 20 stops on my trips and the sooner I get back the better paying load I get. Now I do not speed in town and the speed limit is 70 on most interstates.
