If I didn't care where I went and when, I would be on a mileage plan, too, even though SNI's mileage plan would pay less per mile when adjusted for actual miles. I would end up making more by driving more.

As far as the fuel discounts, as far as I know, they are the same either way. But I could be wrong about that.

Regardless, I'm on the choice program simply because I don't like being dispatched. It's not because it's making me filthy rich. :biggrin_2559:

It is sad but I guess all the extra cost involved ate up your profit....on the other hand you did gross $3800......so it tells me that not all weeks will be good.
or am I reading this wrong.......was this just after fuel, ins, lease, maint only or were you hit with all the extra costs for that week?....

Yea as I said earlier that if you live in certain regions it is very much possible to drop and ooh but going in mt is a risk plus is clearly told us we must go in with mt so I was going by that.

But yes having a good used truck over a lemon is just luck of the draw I suppose.

Matt I realized quickly that the avg load is around 1.40 ish and yea the only benefit o doing choice than mileage is you get to choose o a certain degree where u want to run and see the weight of our loads

yea this was lease and insurance and fuel and just whatever the basics they took out.
As I said the loads are #### heavy and rates are not that great so profits get eaten up by fuel very fast.

Yea Martin I came back to my old company where I was making about 16 to 1800 a week solo and I, just going to do like all you vets said to do in the beginning and that is to swallow the bullet save up and buy truck with cash outright or at least it will be a good down payment in newer truck

That is scary because they sent me a quote that grossed $3565 a week on 2500 miles.....when everything was taken out.....the gross bring home was $1189...
that was with a $625/week truck payment and a $216 maint account.....I think your truck payment was less than that so that means that i would have
brought home about $250......anyway you can PM me the statement....I have to compair the two....or I can PM mine to you....

I am supposed to start choice at the beginning of September and now thinking about backing out....

that's #### good pay for company driver.. sorry to hear about the lemon and bs with sfi.. things are going good for me so far(fingers crossed).. in my opinion mileage isn't the way to go .90 + .39 fsc comes up to a 1.39pm I have yet to touch a load under 1.40 and that's including my empty miles. the rates I see are good yeah there cheap loads but there a lot of load paying 1.50pm plus i'm running northeast and Midwest loads past Illinois from what I see so far don't pay much.

yeah my quote was pretty much the same thing. All the quotes are the same just on new trucks more money goes toward the truck and on older it goes to maintenance fund. You still pay the same each week regardless of what truck you get.
