3000 miles a week is for the birds. Once in awhile is one thing but who wants to run that much all the time just to make ends meat company driver or owner operator. There is better ways.
Exactly. 2k, maybe 2.5k Mike's a week is more than sufficient as an average. hell, my most profitable weeks I turn under a thousand miles. 2 mile load today paid me 600 bucks. Wish I could do one of those 5 days a week.
I always figured you'd need a lot more than that to get started right. Like winning lottery ticket amount of money. -Pre-emission 379 in sharp condition: $50k -New Great Dane dry van with a couple choice options: $40k Down payment on Ins policy + other paperwork fees: $10k There's 100 grand right there and you haven't even put fuel in it and ran it for 2 months before any checks came in. Like I said if won the lottery...
I have a friend that is a technician at an International dealer and he had nothing good to say about the lone star. Lots of electrical issues I guess. Maybe they have the problems worked out now that the lone star had been out for a while, but I would take the Kenworth T680 over that thing for sure
