If he's running shuttles, he's not even bumping docks. The hardest part of his day is hooking up the trailers.

Seriously doubt it. If Swift drivers were netting that much, there would be a waiting list of drivers for the account. Reads more like 1100-1400 gross to me. Still a bit better than 940 gross, but not by enough for the extra work and loss of family time in my opinion. It'll move the OP up a tax bracket at least, which means a higher percentage comes out for taxes, SS, and Medicaid, plus any applicable state.and local taxes.

Stay with current job and find something you can do part time for extra cash ... Or talk to other drivers at that location and see what they make for real .. Remember at swift your just driver number 12345etc not Bob,frank, joe etc

Stay put; Unless, you directly hired by Walmart, whom is hiring and their drivers avg. 82K per year, home on weekends. (info from a radio news ad.)

Sounds like sound advice. I got 6 months before my 2 year mark, got all the endorsements and twic badges but no ports near me. I wonder if Waco has terminals. Looks like dallas and houston is where the money in texas as a driver is.... Now im wondering should i just cancel monday swift orientation just go and come home.
