Not familiar with the 510, but I do own the 520. Solid, reliable, accurate. Nice features.

Each upgrade RM has done has been solid. Is it worth the upgrade?? Only you can tell.. compare the new features to what you want and make the decision. I still run my 700 and while I've played with the newer models, I'm a tightwad and it still gets me around.

I believe there is a trade in program extended thru next month where you trade in your old RM and purchase your new one for just $150 bucks.

I have the 710, it died one month out of warranty and it never was a good piece of hardware. I'm not familiar with the 520 nor will I be but if you've got a 510 that works stick with it, you might end up trading it for a piece of junk.
