I've only smoked weed once in my life and it was because I was so drunk I didn't know what planet I was on or that it wasn't just a normal cigar. So what's the real menace here. The alcohol I don't mind or the weed I wouldn't normal smoke.

I don't care if ppl.smoke weed or drink. Just don't operate while impaired from either

Your poll question asks about off duty use of pot, not alcohol. If your poll was regarding comparing and contrasting the use of pot versus alcohol, then it would be fair to ask about how alcohol seemingly receives preferential treatment.

A drunk driver is orders of magnitude more dangerous than a stoned driver

I personally do not enjoy THC, it makes me paranoid and incompetent , but I had a buddy in high school that used to get high as a kite and win local motorcycle races. Try doing that with bourbon.

Every single person I know ( even the ones that claim it has no lasting affects) took weeks before they actually started to think perfectly clear after quitting.

I personally don’t use it but if a person wanted to use it on their time off I believe it should be allowed. And just for reference I am a middle aged Republican saying this.

Same. There’s plenty of people of there on much worse prescriptions than weed and taking them all day long while they drive and not just when off duty.

Its been legal in Canada for many years, couple that with no drug testing requirements if it were a problem we'd have noticed it by now.
