Here's my opinion. I think all street drugs should be legalized. I don't have an issue with what anyone does when it comes recreational drug use as long as the users don't endanger anyone or hurt anyone while being high. I've been clean 11 years this month. I have never been able to fathom how alcohol can be sold with no issue but recreational drugs can't. Alcohol is regulated, and recreational drugs can't be? Hmmmmm....another thing I can't fathom is how some of you complain about government regulation on everything, but when it comes to recreational drugs.....rules are rules.
Now I'm speaking to you directly in another way. I answered your question with my opinion, but thus really jsnt the place to have this debate. Many of the members here are passionate about the industry to the point of blood thirst. Any mistake drivers make they want them to pay to the fullest, a very unforgiving bunch. You ain't gonna get some of these closed minded jokers to at the very least hear a other point of view. This audience is a tough one and this debate has gone on ad nauseum. They would rather persecute than to have a debate. Know your audience man.....TTR really ain't the place to advocate for recreational drugs.
Should we be able to use cannabis on our time off?

My company has a zero-tolerance policy for both alcohol and drugs.
I just fired a team this afternoon for alcohol in the truck.
Against the rules - PERIOD.
The truck next to him saw them buy beer, then they were putting the empties on the catwalk in a bag as the guy next to them videoed the girl putting the cans in the bag, and it was sent to the office when they were doing the pre-trip four hours later. He also called the cops, they were drunk. I had two drivers go and get the truck, which is on the way back now. I talked to the girl who wasn't apologetic, and I told her I'm terminating the contract but she didn't seem to care. When the recovery guys got there, they were nowhere to be found (still in jail), so their stuff was put into boxes and will be sent to the address on the app.
Last Tuesday, I had a driver get into an accident, it was a serious one and he was taken to do a pee test, he was positive for drugs. He was fired when it was confirmed that it was positive. I gave him a chance to come clean about it, and all he had to do is say, I screwed up but instead, I got this BS that it wasn't my business what he does on his time off. That was it, fired him. -
