Every insurance company I talked to they quotes me 16 k because I was in New York my truck is parked in jersey and I really don't want to do many loads out of the city.... I have a friend that uses a po box at the usps office and he has his company opened in New Jersey his rate is lower. Oida would not look at me because I do not have 4 years of experience almost there but they need 4 or more .... Really need to get away from this cut throat leased to company crap .... Have some oo paying dispatch for good runs and I just can't handle the cruption so I want to break of sooner and trying to figure this out how I can do so.., taking a 19 k per year is setting up to fail....

Other than insurance I'd look at state income taxes and anything else you could think of. There could be many benefits to "moving." Just make sure you keep up a good ruse. Maybe pull a couple of the utility bills in your name and make it look like you genuinely live their or at least "want" to live there.

I have 2 years of experience as a driver and live in Washington state. I got a quote for 1 mil liability and 150k in cargo and 130k in physical damage on a 2015 tractor. The quote was for $11,760 for the year.
