oh God......the first time i saw that i couldn't stop cracking up....

and YES, some gals do have a "rough voice"......Kathleen Turner and Lauren Bacall comes to my mind......although, i highly suspect " Russian Peggy" wouldn't look anything like our Ms. Turner in a sweater and skirt....!! remember her in " Body Heat"....???

shoot, i cannot seem to post a pic of her

Well, I spend a lot of time on this here machine and I notice there are all kinds of people posting. Some are serious, some are jokesters, some are rude, some are snide. Well, that's what makes up this here world so you have to weed through it. Occasionally, I feel kind of "strange" and post a reply that is really not me. Usually, I'm on the up and up and want to help the newbies. With 32 years in the biz, I do know a little and am glad to share. I'm on another truck site, and usually the original poster drops by and asks one ? and then disappears and never says thank you or anything. So, Doc D, lighten up a tad and keep on asking, knowing that you will get your answers. It's the internet, right?

I know probably jack-squat regarding these big starter companies, so I'm not much help to the new guys. When I started, I went with a smaller regional company.

What I try and do is encourage all newbies and wannabes and help them instill some confidence in themselves and the industry.

Let's face it, there's an abundance of negativity here on the forum and out on the road. I refuse to give in to all of that.

Let me first say I do appreciate the informative and helpful people on here.

The thing with me and Rerun stemed from some private messages. You all have not gottes to see becasue i tried to take the #####fest and battle to private. His first comment was afraid of the consciquences. I said no I was trying to not disrespect the board.

Again I realize i got snippy and i applogize. i have added rerun to my ignore list due to our conversations and appologize if things got odd becasue of that.

Hopefully you can get your issues with Rerun resolved over time. I'm new to this site, though not to the trucking industry, and I'm surprised anyone would want to shut themselves off from any resource that will help to increase their earnings and safety, no matter how disagreeable they find the person. However, I digress.

Without doubt, you can search old topics until you find an answer resembling something you want, but there is also a major problem with that. I'm not going to be reading old topics looking to see how I can help someone who probably hasn't visited the forum in 2 years, so anything I could add will be a non-starter.

I understand that it is normal procedure in internet forums to read the old stuff to see if your question has been answered, but this one, I think, is a special case. If you need to know what the weather is doing between Dawson Creek and Fort St John, I wouldn't suggest looking at a 6 month old post to find out, for example.
