    It went away....

There is still no way to cancel a post in progress before you actually post it.... Understand?

How come change isn't a four letter word?

Looks good so far and seems fast. It's funny how much a simple change of terms (messages instead of posts) can confuse me.

I hope 'years driving experience' can be added in to users profiles.

Did you remember to hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom, after UNchecking "Receive email when a new conversation message is received" on the preferences page?
(I saw you found & linked to that page in your previous post)

Edit/Add: I notice it does say "conversations", which isn't post notifications, so that may not work for those. In any case, I'll make sure Admins are aware of the issue.

I noticed this problem too. I had to delete the entire quote manually

Did TTR get rid of the user blogs? I was going to start mine back up since I changed companies.

Is it the size of the quoted text that's bothering you? Because I believe it's functioning the way the software developers intended it. In most circumstances the users would have already read the original post, so having it repeated full size is a waste of space and takes focus away from the Reply, which is new and unread. If users want to read the original post in it's full size they can click the arrow at the top of quoted section.

There are a lot of little differences (and some major ones) between the old software and the new software, very frustrating at first. As I'm getting used to doing it 'their way,' I'm finding that the software developers seem to have put a lot of thought into re-imagining how forums work, and I'm appreciating their way of doing things. I still want to bang my head against the wall occasionally, but overall there's a lot to like if you give it a bit.

I ran across this issue also. It helped to click on the "Use BB Code Editor" Icon (far right, with wrench on paper), then delete the text.
Otherwise I'd find it reappearing, tho "greyed out" in the text box.
Just some tips until site developer addresses this.

Xenforo, the new software, doesn't have a blogs feature. They have something similar-yet-different called Resources, and we'll be adding that in the next couple of weeks. It works better if you think of it as a way to create a guide, which can be updated and edited as you go along. Think, "Criminey Jade's Guide to Driving For [insert company's name here]"
