You had no excuse to have that load late according to Crete and what I read from you that's why they wrote your tardiness up. Lol I'm not worried about one service failure on my record but at the same time for a rookie who may have substantial overhead I wouldn't advise them to refuse to overnight park because its more comfort being close to public restrooms and subway.

A lot of times once I prepare myself, shower dinner etc and overnight park it's pretty much the same as sleeping at the ts. Once you learn your body crapping in bags is not required lol.

Let's not forget that some companies will FIRE YOU ON THE SPOT for being late to some shippers because they are competing for business to the point where they will be fined hundreds to thousands for being late.

I'm just going to say that yes overnight park every chance you're comfortable with it. It will be the difference between you making $1000 a week and $1300 a week, true story. Aren't we all trying to make great money out here or is it just me?

I just posted on the Crete thread that I like running less miles.
I can easily run 108,000 miles per year, but the stress and begging and crapping in a bag for an extra 10 to 15,000 miles per year is not worth it to me anymore.
I'm a very "regular" person too, I take the psyllium hulls every day.

And Crete is a different sort of company than most, I know that I will not get a load near home until I'm due back home. And they love the high paying short loads, but only if the driver doesn't live nearby, so I become equally ornery and will not spend the night at a customer and unload on my off duty time.
but then when I was new, who knows?

With all due respect to you but you can be a square out here on the road. Me I'm going to do what works for me.

Now for the part where you might be offended: You are WRONG! How can you say that an extra $200 to $300 a week is negligible. You are WRONG.
How can you make generalizations like you did? If I pull up to a shipper with 30 mins left on duty and I get unloaded for 2hrs I'm WRONG because I'm unloaded off the clock and I still have 8 hrs to sleep lol.? You're crazy and paranoid.

My company ain't taking note of safety violations when I haven't committed any violations. Lol you don't get it do you? What's unsafe to me is driving while tired. The dot don't NEED to know what I'm doing all the time.

And you don't know me at all to say I don't care about what another driver is going through on here. I go through what he goes through with this job all the time!
Its messed up that companies push us like that and plan these loads with no consideration of where were going to shut down at and if it's a safe comfortable place. But at the same time was it the only way to secure a load so everyone keeps making money? If he doesn't feel comfortable I would never encourage somebody to do that. If you ask me I will tell you it's "harmless" to do it as far as company policy AND dot. But if you need to be comfortable you need to let the company know asap and continue to run YOUR truck and logs.

Are you a real truck driver? You sound like the dot to me. A REAL trucker wouldn't have attacked me like you did. We already invest our whole lives into the job and you criticize my experience and knowledge with no reference to back it up to prove you are right.
Lol I don't even care if you're "right"!
