Proctor and gamble was in the news complaining about the driver shortage. ..... maybe they mean dumb drivers that will deal with them and there bs..... the main people that are complaining about the driver shortage are the cheap skates or the aholes what they really mean its harder to find people who will haul stuff for next to nothing ...... or guys that don't mind wasting a day loading or unloading . the better companies have been adding more trucks not just trying to fill the seats of the guys that quit . there is absolutely no driver shortage for the better companies and the people that treat you like humans
Tariffs will hit Truckers hard as it did with farmers. Almost April and it's unusually slow compared to previous years. More Tariffs=Less Loads. Fewer loads mean Trump fixed the driver shortage. So there's that.
this is a normal winter slow down we have just been lucky For past couple of years. ....... there is a driver shortage however there isn't a shortage of trucks ,carriers still want to add trucks and drivers even if they dont have enough frieght just think they can find enough frieght if they can get the drivers. ......... way way too many people went out and got there own authority and just work the load boards if you're not getting at least half your frieght direct or at least with an inside track with an agent you should really be leased to someone that does as some are starting to find out the hard way . I have had to do 1 load off the spot market this year and will do my second today both not paying what they did last winter everything else has been contract frieght. the spot market will go up first and crash first and this isn't even a crash yet . if you're counting on the spot market to be a way to rich es better have a plan b
if you are not paying xxxx xx and you treat them worse than xxxx its very hard to find drivers and there is a very real driver shortage. ... not in this area but its very hard. to cover the bombay to calculta run also in the ukraine and russIA its hard to find drivers. .... and in somalia its hard to find drivers let alone a decent pirate. .......... actually is a driver shortage all over europe ............ wether your for or against immigration or let ting 18 yr old drive it doesn't matter but they do bring down wages and rates just by supply and demand
