    i dunno, can the trucker really be charged with anything?

    he can always claim "it happened all of a sudden, so it must be the fault of the computer"....

    Just doin’ a California re-gen. As long as that truck has it’s clean idle sticker it is compliant and allowed to smoke and burn things down.

    No such thing as a "smoke and run," but there are such things as "following too closely" and "too fast for conditions."
