I am sure you are right. Most people are unaware of the fact it was written into the law, but not funded.

    Give them time.

I would rather start selling drugs than let an electronic device tell me when and what to do. Ill live like a king working from home untill someone rats me out. then ill get free housing, clothing, food, and medical expenses paid for.

You'll take a 30 minute break daily for sure then.

    Oh the irony...

You'd rather go to prison where they control practically every facet of your existence instead?

Enough from me for now. my log ran out 30 minutes from the house. but since im such an outlaw i am now about to get in my personal vehicle somehow and enjoy seeing friends and family at a couple of parties. I quit drinking last year but today i am going to give rides to some boozing friends in my full sized suv. clearly i am a danger to society and should be behind bars......

Yeah we load and unload, some days I'm doing just one mill back and forth as I posted about Camas to Longview.
Usually that mill takes two trucks to keep up with the flow so we are spaced apart with one loading while the other is 50 miles away unloading.
Back and forth till the mill shuts down for the day, it runs pretty smooth if we can keep up a steady pace but now we have a stupid 30 minute break to throw a monkey wrench in things.
That's why I waited till my last load to take the break, otherwise we'd have the trucks too close together at the mill and or the mill chip bunker would overflow because of no truck getting there on time.

Why not use your load time as "off duty" time for your break. As if somebody is going to check up on that. You were just lucky that the plant guy loaded you. If I'm getting in and out of my truck 5-6 or more times a day, no way I'm going to take another .30 mins for some stupid break. I don't think that was the "intent" of the rule.

If you re responding to me, well I can load and be back on the road sometimes in 15 minutes and there is a DOT port of entry scale I pass with every load where the WSP has no sense of humor lol.
My company will also frown on us logging off duty while working.
