I Dont want paid by the HOUR!!!!
Thats part of the problem one does not fit all just as HOS one does NOT all.
And even if it was by the hour the HOS regulates you to so many a week why would I want that I worked 100+ in other industries and made bank.

Exactly what I tried to explain to him, what are issues to him are NOT issues to other people, that's why I told him to change his situation, but he thinks I'm picking on him?

He doesn't realize it, but I was trying to help him understand he has options, he is the owner of his destiny.

Right I will say I think driver pay as a whole is a joke but dont make me work hourly since we are regulated to the hrs available because working hourly I will want to work everything I can just like many of the construction jobs I have had 140 in a week there oh and then got in my car and drove the 700 miles home.
As it is I am good on percentage pay.
The reason most companies pay cpm is loads are based off per mile and cost is based on per mile hourly rate dont work so well outside local jobs because one time the trip may take 6hrs and the next it may take 10 due to a wreak or weather and people tend to milk the clock when paid by the hour so you want to fight. Fight for better cpm for you company drivers. Higher cpm for you all tends to help me. :D

I work for hourly and make good money. I'm also less stressed because I know I'm being paid for every minute. Loading, unloading, fueling, paperwork, waiting etc. I pull tankers regionally Otr. Home weekends.
I'd never work for cpm again. It's a scam. I do a lot more then just drive. I want paid for that. 20-30 hours a week are spent on line 4 (if you log it legally). I don't know about you but I don't work for free.

Local or atleast semi-local?. At the very least it an out and back?
If not good to see someone found a way to make it work but as stated before with everything else based off cpm its so much easier for most to figure cost and pay based on that.

And am being paid for all I do just its the same if I take 10hrs to go somewhere or 6 I am paid to stop pickup load tarp it if needed and get it to destination period
