Of you are getting paid well for your services then fine I get your point but pay by the hour surely should be an option since the e log will come to be very very soon.

Again let me be clear pay by the hour should be a legal option. If what you have now works for you fine then so be it but if not then I see a smorgasbord of options.
Not many companies will pay percentage and let you see the books even owner operators have a hard time checking the books and some have been blacklisted if they ask to see.
I misunderstood dude and his statement because in my minds eye I see the government as the problem and at the same time the solution.
I really think that they can change it for the better as a whole not every problem but surely most problems in this industry and especially the hours of service need work if they would just simple give the driver the teeth to bite back and the e log ain't it. But since we know the bribes have been passed around like candy we may as wel enjoy the sweets too and the e log would indeed work to our advantage and especially when it comes to overtime and dock detention time.
Now do you guys see my point?
Yes I'm highly defensive because I truly care about us as a class of people and I care about my family too and I hope you guys care about your family's and your working conditions as well.

I gotta add this as far as you guys running e-logs making so-called good money driving per mile it just hit me , What's wrong with making more than you do if under pay by hour is mandatory?
Seems to me that you would make more running e-log And being paid by the hour too if you got it good you'd have it better.
Under the e log you get miles but you don't drive every mile every minute and so you are losing out, Why rail against pay by the hour and make the clock work for you,? Unless... Never mind ... I won't go there just yet.

I make over $1000 a week every week. More like closer to $1300 every week with some weeks $1500-$2000. You can make decent money on e-logs, the key is to WORK. if you do not work, you won't make money

Yep same here. And with Elogs it's just one less thing I have to worry about at the end of the day. Just hit the button and go home. No correcting my logs, no fixing this or changing that or, my personal favorite, "missing logs".
