I guess I should mention too. Out of 2 weeks, I have only driven 7 days. My last mentor got angry and refused to let me drive. The first one put me up in a hotel the first 3 nights too. For me the computer is the only way I can contact my driver services, and give a full explanation of what is going on too. Plus it allows me to ask questions of members on here even if it's just through pm. Yes, My mentors were breaking laws so it is a big deal and those legal issues I have not discussed on the forum but only through emailing certain people.
Some questions about my mentor

WTH you talking about? Are you questioning how I train? You don't have to let the student use an inverter if you choose not to do so. The top bunk is for the student! They are on the truck to learn! Stuff like notebooks should be used on off time when they are at a terminal or truckstop!
Students can use my inverter to charge their phone when I am not charging mine but as far as charging a notebook that is up to me whether or not I allow them to do it.
The mentor has every right to not allow her to use an inverter especially if he has to idol the truck or get up to start it because the battery alarm keeps going off.
Students should understand that they are on the mentor's truck does not matter if he is a lease driver or company and they are not entitled to just plug in anything they want.
Talk to any student I have trained and I guarantee you they had fun out here. So don't question how I train just sounds like more to this story than what we know.
Most likely I would allow a student to charge his notebook I am only saying the mentor can say no and the student should just respect his decision and get on with the training.
The poster that stated you are suppose to share? Yea to a certain extent but allowing a student to use there own inverter or to use the mentor's fridge for an example is up to the mentor not the student.
For example I have a student right now who thinks he can just put things where he wants to in my cabinets and closet. He also thinks he can just use my fridge to put his stuff in.
Wrong!! You ask first! I am not required to do this. It's the top bunk and put your stuff on the seat every night. If I have the space then I will tell them but if I do not your clothes don't go right beside mine hanging up?
Get my point? I can tell you right now if she is complaining about him running his stuff and she can not use her inverter she won't make it!Last edited: Nov 17, 2011

They get plenty of time off on my truck! last one spent two days in Vegas with me and the time of his life. We eat and play at Casino's and have fun! But training on my truck comes first! There is a time for work and a time for having fun!
All I was saying is mentor is not required to let here charge anything like a notebook if he chooses not to let here and she should just get on with her training and charge it when she can at a terminal or truck stop.
