Honestly, reading too much into these forums about companies could steer you in the wrong direction. While this forum does give helpful information about legitimately horrible companies , it's also the first place CDL student washouts and recently fired employees come to swear the company is just horrible and were fired for no reason.

Ask every question possible, keep notes and go with your gut on which company that's going to accept you.

I worked for a company that got nothing but awful reviews on here and it turned out the be the best job i had.

As far as second chance companies. PTL isn't great, but they are far from horrible. I'd also look Into May trucking.

Texas marijuana farm a rare find near borderRAYMONDVILLE, Texas (AP) — On land once used to grow watermelons and grain, 8-foot tall marijuana plants swayed under a canopy of mesquite. White pipes and a pump diverted water from a canal, delivered to the 60-foot long rows by carefully excavated trenches.

I'm joking; just trying to lighten it up a bit. We're all going to pitch in and help Red Wide Glide find a good job.

not sure how thats any of your business or pertains to the original post of this thread unless your considering me for a job but

    1. enough to keep myself in good supply for about 6-7 months
2 in a rental. no i didnt get my security deposit, i didnt steal power, burn crosses or sell drugs to kids.

now can we get back to the original post in the thread where i asked for information to help get a job rather than calling me names, making accusations and offering no help? if i was such a drug addict and drug dealer why would i spend the time and money to go to trucking school (which drug tests). (no grants, no funding) to get a job that pays less per week than a drug dealer makes a day and gives me less time to spend with my family than i would have if i were in jail?

i served my time, stayed clean, havent had a single legal issue since i got out, not even a parking ticket and enrolled in trucking school to get a job and support my family. im obviously well on my way to getting my life straightened out and can do without the lectures and negative remarks. if you feel the need to talk trash and lecture drug dealers there are plenty of them in every major city you pass through standing on the corner.

thanks for the tip ill check them out.

yea im noticing that. i've heard of may on forums but havent seen any adds ill check their site out. im going to put in as many apps and make as many phone calls as i can. i cant really afford to be choosy so i really appreciate all the suggestions from folks in this thread

hopefully more of the local companies will take me more seriously when i get my license wednesday. there are 2 local companies i'd really like to work for but without a license im just another dreamer wasting their time it seems. ill fill out as many apps as i can tonight and in the morning before i leave in the am then follow up with calls on my lunch break. if i have time after calls there are another 2 small companies within a few miles of the school i'd like to go talk to. one hauls mostly garbage but the other seems to haul anything they can with flatbeds. of the other 2 local ones i would really like to work for and have stopped in one is a dairy that delivers their retail packaged goods to stores and the other picks up milk from farms mainly and takes it to NJ.

Hmmm very enlightening ..Obviously you were selling ..

So you had a 4 yr old little girl in your home growing pot .. NICE.. that will get you daddy of the yr ..

In most places that would be called child endangerment and enough to call it intent to distribute... and it was only 4 yrs ago.. Good Luck...and then you have sat home the last 4yrs.. You will probably need to get a mediocre job at walmart for the next 3 yrs for most employer to even look.. sounds like you should have asked before you wasted a bunch of money on school..
Your high risk.. bet you would fail a hair folicle test..

And If thats the attitude you have with your prospective employer .. again good luck because those are the questions I would be asking with your resume'

By the way I was a single father with custody of my 1 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son for over 2 yrs before I remarried.... she is now 17..and he is 23.

I didn't stay at home and grow weed I worked ...

As for the milk jobs, personally I would try for picking up milk at dairy farms.
Dealing with grocery store employees can push the patience to the limits.
