Dude. Who the heck cares? The thread was about truck driving companies that would hire people with less than optimal histories. He's trying to get a job. Any reason we can't just let that happen? Maybe give him some assistance - I thought truck drivers, "Professional Drivers" were supposed to be all about that brotherhood / sisterhood thing? Just my dime's worth. Your actual mileage will probably vary.

Just about ANY employer AND insurance companies.. That's WHO WILL CARE ..
IF He had a job for the past 4 yrs that drug tested and it had been at least 5-10 yrs ago.. He might have a chance but with his resume and attitude like its no biggy-- I give him about a snowballs chance in hades at Truck driving until he has at least 3yrs on a regular non driving job..and a clean record.

Good luck to you. Best bet IMO is to ignore the people trying to derail your thread and engage with those trying to help. Saw an add on CL today for Ptl, which a few have mentioned in here, so they're at least lookin.

what part of the word "Rental" didnt you understand. the only things that lived there were plants and spiders. second you arent an employer so what you think doesnt matter. third i dont really much care what you think.... Bitter much?

im going to try to just refrain from even replying to people who are only here to talk trash over the computer like you and "mrit"

yea i'd enjoy that job alot more but the one delivering retail packaged goods pays alot more, gets me home every day, and has better benefits. not to mention family that have worked there for 10+ years willing to put in a good word for me. i would be happy with either, but enjoy the tanker job alot more.

ill try to check it out tonight but if i dont get to i will tomorow for sure. i've got to get up for class in 6hrs. thanks for taking the time to link it for me.

i try but its a work in progress lol. probably the same one i saw and got the number from. i've been searching craigslist, pennswoods.net classifieds and indeed.

That will be quite enough out of you, and anyone else with nothing useful to contribute.

The man is asking us for help, not to be beat up on, and it stops NOW. Is that clear?

Red, like P3ter said, ignore the baiters and the haters. Work on finding something that meets your needs - the jobs are out there, you may have to work a bit harder on finding one, but you'll find someone that'll give you a chance. You may have to tough it out for a while at a lower wage than you are hoping for, but with experience will come more opportunity. Mack's advice is good - look to a smaller outfit that has need for drivers but can't promise the $$. Don't wait for more than 60 - 90 days after getting done with the CDL course to hire on though, many companies will be reluctant to hire you on after that. The limited experience that CDL school gives you gets "stale" in their eyes after that time frame. Stick with your first job for as long as it takes to get comfortable and competent behind the wheel and with backing. You'll be better set for driving tests with other outfits after that happens... Good luck!
