Things didn't end up going my way last week for a couple reasons. Mostly freak timing issues so I didn't get another run till Saturday afternoon. So last week I ended up with my worse week yet pay wise at only 1800 miles and 6 deliveries. My second lowest pay since week 1 in oriontation. The run I took on Saturday was a 1170 mile 6 stopper ending in St Louis. Had to take 2 10s. If done perfect maybe doable in 1 ten but you would be sweating the 14 both days and would need every break one could get both delivery and traffic wise.

Probably jinxed myself when I reported out my pay average. Guess there is a way I could request some of that big run to be paid on this weeks payroll but I'm not going to do that. Nice option though. So off to a huge start this week at 1170 and 6 plus last night I did a odd 15mile 1 stopper that is difficult so pays double. Right now I'm in between sleep sessions cuz I'm leaving for a big Chicago run at midnight tonight. Gonna be around O'hair airport just before lunch time Wednesday so hopefully everything goes good. Hope to get to Aurora area for my 10.

Chicago trip went much smoother than I expected. Traffic gods were with me. I'm leaving for North KC. Mo. tonight so this will be a huge week at 3000 miles and 12 deliveries bye the time I get back early Saturday morning. Reset maybe after that?

Short reset, basically Saturday night and early Sunday morning then had to sleep cuz of a 1 stopper to Bismarck ND that left Sunday mid afternoon. Nice almost all daylight driving. 860 miles round trip. Getting ready to leave on the Chicago 3 stopper around midnight tonight.

Finished the week with a 925 mile 5 stopper ending in Marqette Michigan. Really nice drive too bad mostly at night. I saw a bull moose in the U.P. At dusk it crossed the road about a quarter mile in front of me so I slowed big time and when I came upon where it crossed it was just slowly moving away looking back at me a couple times. We where probably about 100 yards apart. By far the biggest animal I've ever seen out side of a zoo! Hard to beleive how tall they are. I really wish my kids could've been with me. Ended up about 2700 miles and 9-10 deliveries for the week.

Keep it up brother. Glad you are keeping busy!

What account are you on

I'm on the Mission Foods account out of Minneapolis. Started the week with 2 turnable runs already. Seems like it's been a few weeks since I've had one. The turnables are a little stressful now that we are in construction season. Came in the gate this morning on a 575 mile run with 1 minute left on my clock. Already have 1100 miles and 6 deliveries. Off to Chicago tonight. Hopefully make it to Dixon Illinois for my 10.

Rough run to Chicago. Start off I made the mistake of trying to ween myself off caffeine on this trip and I was dragging on the 6 1/2 hour trip there. Had to pull over and knap for half hour. Might switch to no sugar energy drinks. At 2nd stop I had a hydraulic hose for the trailer lift gate explode making the thing completely unfold extremely fast and unexpected. I was just trying to lower it to back into a dock. Thank god nobody was behind and I wasn't close to the dock or it could of been ugly, kinda scary. Luckily I must have been very close to a repair shop cuz a shop truck showed within 35mn of calling road service. Ended up costing me hour and a half. Had to take 10 before I reached last stop.

Just got done doing a regen so hopefully drive home will go well. May have to take a 30 now cuz of that. Taking Illinois highway 2 north from Dixon to basically Rockford. One of my favorite drives.
