Yeah, I hear the money is even better. They doubled-down on the routes after a bunch of people quit, including me.
I hear they got the pay up to about 125k a year. That's right about where it should be for team driving and also all the labor.
I had all those routes memorized. My least favorite pick up is that one in Louisville. You have to back in off a busy road. Then you walk through what looks like a haunted house. There's a halfway house upstairs. Tons of fun!
Those Memphis pickups are bs too. I backed in one night and when I touched the dock it set their alarm off and a bunch of cops showed up.
Starting at Dollar General, what can I expect as a driver?

Chicago sucks, but Detroit is alright. I parked overnight at the Oak Park location once. I went to the store across the street and I waited in line behind a paranoid tweaker getting mad at everyone for looking at him.
Well I bought some coleslaw. Don't buy coleslaw up there. They don't know to make it. I got the worst stomach ache.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
Next spring you'll be hoping up there in that trailer with a tshirt. Just don't get too comfortable exiting the trailer out through that little door. I slipped and fell out of it once. It hurt for like 2 weeks.DC4L956 Thanks this.

That sounds fantastic!
Any other bonus features?
Getting out of the truck, and exercise, is such a wonderful thing.JoeyJunk, DC4L956 and Dockbumper Thank this. -
It’s been a good experience. Have no problem with the rolltainers even though sometimes they are hard to get out with the ground not being even and all. The backing has been an experience LOL and most definitely the hardest part of the job. I’ve had my fair share of cars honking at me. On one of the first loads on my own it took me about 10 minutes to back just for the lady to tell me she wanted her stuff through the entrance in front of the freezers haha. Most annoying part has probably been the managers trying everything not to accept a load. Overall the pay is good, the loads they’ve been given me is near home which is great and the job isn’t as hard as they make it seem.Pamela1990, JoeyJunk, nredfor88 and 2 others Thank this.
