starting in a few days, afraid I'll be bored too soon

    I know where your teacher is coming from. I'd get bored as hell doing the same task all day long in a factory or an office. Driving is different though, for me anyway.

    Boredom equals easily distracted. If you find you do get bored easily behind the wheel you don't belong there. Only one way to find out but everyone's concerns in the thread are valid.

    I had 13 deliverys over 750 miles, started in Chicago, Went through Peoria,IL, down into MO. back up around the gateway and finish just north of Bloomington, IL. I left late sunday evening, back home tues night. Throwing straps, moving the canopy back and forth with every stop. If you get bored with one type of truck driving, try another. I started driving hazmat vans, drove a dry bulk pneumatic, now I do the ltl flat bed deliverys and love it. I have to be on my game every minute of my day, my days are over as soon as they start. 10 hours in a flash. there are many options, in time youll find your niche.
