Yeah man, he's been here since I got here. Don't personally know him. Just over hear him always complaining about stuff and how this or that sucks. Think he came from fuel hauling at suncoast or something, maybe got fired idk. But he does seem to dislike everything.
Starting with Schneider bulk

Don't know if he plans on staying here. His main issue he told me is pay. He has more experience than me but his pay package is less but it seems that's because he's regional and not for. Recruiter even told him they will start him at .50cpm if he switched but he doesn't want to do otr.
He says if he can't make around 1500 gross a week here then he's better off going back into fuel hauling. He wants to be hired by Nalco and is here just cause they want chemical experience not fuel.
If we are in the same groups tomorrow then it's going to another fun day....Also we will have a different instructor this time and he or she might not put up with his attitude.Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
Yeah never turn your pump on when valves are closed. Not unless you want to break something. One easy tip is always always always check your gasket in any female connection. Especially the customers
-
Yep! She pulled a gasket out to test us and he never caught it. Says to always check the hose after a tank wash cause a lot of times the gasket gets washed out.
-
They are supposed to give you new ones. Make sure you hoard good ones for when you need them. Hose ones and the ones for wash out caps and grommets for Chicago fittings

Today was really good. Got the air unload down and was able to do around 80% by memory on the 3rd go. My teammate did not act up but...let's say reading is not his specialty. He kept trying to do it without the cheat sheet we had to spend a bit of time correcting him. At one point he went up and started venting his air BEFORE removing the last bit of product and draining his hoses.
Tomorrow is another day. We also had a Arnorld driver show up at the terminal to ask for directions to the local Pepsi warehouse.Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
So day 6 is done. Saturday practicing air unloading. It was pretty cool, I felt it was faster than pump. Though I probably just got better and more familiar with the items from 1 day to the next. 1 hose from trailer to container, and just check for a few different things, slightly different procedures. Have a great teacher for that part imo, real cool guy. You will do 3 unloads, and your fellow students will do 3. You will finish today, more or less faster than a regular day. Tomorrow we get to drive for half a day. Get a packet about sade driving and how Schneider bulk expects you to drive. Little nervous about tomorrow
