Is it legal to drive with your steering wheel up all the way? The cable snapped in my Volvo and it stuck there I drove it to the rest area it seems pretty easy to drive now that I'm used to it is there any law against that? I'm still in the same amount of control of the truck I just raised my seat a little bit
Nothing illegal about it, just uncomfortable. Lol. I had one snap in Portland on a KW I was driving and it was a long trip back to Missoula.
Must not be illegal, see many 500 lbers driving every day with the steering wheel all the way up to clear that belly.
Make sure to raise your seat as high as possible and slide the seat real close to the windshield.....so close that you can lick the glass.
It's a cheap part and an easy fix after you do it about 3 times. I've done mine 4 times. I get about a year out of that lousy cable design. The part, including the pedal, is like $25 and every Volvo dealer has lots of em on hand because they break all the time. I thought about making a video on how to do it but it's too hard to see or get a camera under there.
