All it was with Stevens is a temporary thing when fracking was booming they got into it like everyone else and now that it’s stopped and slowed down threw that part of the country they are tapping out! It’s no big deal at all proceed with what you are gonna do

You're w/ Superior Bulk right? Do you have an idea how things are looking at their Pasadena terminal? Superior is at the top of my list of companies to apply so I'll probably be trying to get in touch w/ someone there in the next few weeks. I finish CDL class in mid-December so it would be great if I could get started shortly after that or even right after the first of the year.

The writing has been on the wall with Stevens for a while. Many of those drivers have already left. I worked for them as a driver, then as a sand coordinator for the last three years. I was laid off in May. Poor business decisions are the reason, in my opinion.

Most I've followed or worked with in oilfield are just moving over to Stevens Transport or going to over tanker outfits.
Most there have undoubtedly seen this coming and if they were around when Schneider was pushed out of the Eagleford by them they knew it was inevitable given the nature of oilfield work.

Give the terminal manager a call. He is a good guy. Probably have you come in for an interview.

It's only 600 drivers. Not all will seek tanker positions after the layoff. One would have to assume many would be absorbed into the reefer division.
