Dropped my load at General Mills this morning. Blind side back in a cramped space with the rising sun blowing out my mirrors. Could not see.
Had to get out and check myself at least a half dozen times.
Werner driver waiting for the dock next to me hollered at me: "Come on rookie! Some of us have to make a living!"
I waved.
Finally got it in place.
While noting my log, heard that ugly metal on metal crunch.
The Werner driver, making the same back, crunched the parked trainer next to him.
I thought about it for a minute, but couldn't help my self.
Got out, went over, looked at it, then looked at him...then said, "Rookie mistake if I ever saw one."
Doncha love supertruckers!
Sent off to Liberal for a three dropper in Cali. Got here, dropped my trailer and parked. My DLD is 0800 tomorrow. My ten is up at 0600. Looks like the timing is about right.
After that last blast from Adrian, I decided I'm glad I'm not running in the weather right now. I'll take Cali for a while. -
Anybody at Americas Worst this weekend? Stop in and say hello, room 260, im here till at least Wed

LAMO # Emu!
I prefer to hop out, take a look, put both hands up over my head and yell GOAL!, then drop my hands and say softer, "next time and you won't have to fill out that incident paperwork."
Besides, getting out and climbing back in is good exercise. Not the best, but not bad either. And it's better on your health than sitting and fuming over your own stupidity.
Myself, after a shortish week, am working the weekend to burn up my 70. Got a load going to Coshocton OH, then Columbus OH to Louisville. Makes up for the weather lost miles nicely. I'll sit after delivering tomorrow until I get my Monday hours back, then head towards Chicago with another rail load. Finish it off when I get my Tuesday hours back, then have a mostly normal rest of the week, barring any bad weather.
Hoping I have a home weekend this coming weekend so I can get some extra blankets. The springs on my mattress are starting to be felt, and I could use some extra padding until I trade the truck off. Its at 484K, so about time to go to Dallas.

Just realized my anniversary is the 24th....I better schedule a trip home soon just in case my wife remembers.
This should be #42 unless I don't remember.
In Gallup tonight. Just when you think the TA can't get any worse, it does.
New restaurant manager. Running out of everything. I heard her overtell one of the staff "I'm on a tight food budget!".
Explains the lack of lettuce, steaks, catfish and Hamburger buns.
WTH?
Let me see...if we don't order food, we keep the food costs down...
yea! that's the ticket!
How can you fight logic like that? -

And that manager sounds like she just got out of a government position.
Everyone watch out for the ice/rain/sleet/snow storm coming through the midwest! -
