Stretching frames on Trucks? What is the purpose?

    Not really, my first thought was log truck double after i saw that. Either that or they bought that rig and had it streched and just havent taken it off.

    Never even thought of a log truck. Its set up completely wrong to be a logging truck where I am. Definitely could have been if that's what they use around you.

    We have trees in SD? Lol in all seriousness they used to use em in missouri all the time when i lived there and i still see em on the road speced out like that. Also seen that same design used to haul water/gas/oil pipes. But usually they have a strech truck like that pulling a trailer doing logs there in missouri in a lot of places. Not sure how common they are in general though.

    That truck was ordered 350” from the factory, no splicing, and the original owner did LTL in the north east every week with it, most guys cry if they have to go east of Ohio…

    fuels a tax write off so that’s a dilligaf

    these are mandatory to load at either PA LTL warehouses….

    My guess is a drywall truck with a forklift on the back.

    Sometimes it is easier to buy something like a headache rack to get the battery boxes and def tanks were you want them from Paccar.

    It can be lot easier to sell an almost new headache rack than to try and get them to sell you what you want.

    Note there is no side def tank/ battery box and the short rear overhang. It seems is a tank or battery hung from the headache rack. It is possible Paccar won't sell it that way without the rack.

    Tank on the headache rack is probably a hydraulic tank, our 1 truck had a headache rack just like that one, with hydraulic tank in the middle. No DEF on this one, it’s a C15. 625 hp, 18 speed. Bet it would be fun to drive!

    Well I’m not sure it’s mandatory...even if you can see most of mine in the door on other side of them big strappers LOL

    Saw Curvin easing into the Petro in Carlisle this morning. Another one of those impractical trucks that can’t go anywhere in the Northeast. Lol
