Sure, then on weekends the drivers that are working, can't find space to park at night because the lot is half full of trucks with nobody in them for days. The Loves in Falkville, AL looks like a drop lot for Star Transport, the other night I was there, there were 8 dropped trailers there. I hope Loves is charging for the parking spaces that Star is using.

That's a thought too. There any several companies within 100 miles including Chattanooga. A commute each home time isn't out of the ordinary. They have the truck and can service it when you are off. Your car is safe when you are out.

Almost every company runs through Knoxville. It's a good place for a company trucker to live.

The nice part about being able to park your truck at the terminal is that inspections and minor repair work can be done during your hometime... and not cut into your paycheck by forcing you to sit idle while small issues are resolved.

That's a very good point. Best time to do a PM or other repairs is on home time.

Anyone have info on cheap but secure parking around Arlington Heights IL? I am paying over $100 to park just the cab at a local Public Storage!

Cheaper, and the ability to park a trailer as well would be so helpful.

I heard chicago area lots were charging up to 300 bucks a month? WOW!! There was a rumor that someone was going around putting sugar in tanks at trucks parked anywhere and parking lots where full.

We pay 100/month here in atlanta.

Why are people telling him to park at a ts for home time?

Do not deny another driver a place to rest while YOU are sleeping in YOUR bed......

That should have been worked out PRIOR to them becoming a truck driver. Their problem, not mine.

As tight as parking is at ts's, why should drivers that need the slot to rest and get moving have to park unsafely because that driver is home in bed...
