Can you see it on the computer as an external drive, not using the Dock?

It sounds like the USB port pins 2, 3, or 4 may be bad. Pins 1 and 5 supply power.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I suspect the USB Port on the 720 is possibly bad. Does the computer (windows) tell you drive is not recognized?

    Thanks,
    Mark

If you have a friend, use the TND and the cable and see if it connects to theirs. If so, then a computer issue, if not, then an USB connector on the TND or the USB cable.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Connec the 720 to the computer, close the Dock. Open an Explore window and look for the drive that is the TND. Look under Navi/User/AddressBook, open it you will see a file that is called AddrBook.db. Copy that to the same location on the 730.

You can also once the Navi/User folder is opened up do a CTRL A, then a CTRL C. Copy the files to a folder (name it Navi_User) to your desktop. Then connect the 730 and under the Navi/User folder do a CTRL V, replace what is there. This will copy over all the user files to the 730.

You can do the same with the RM/User folder (name the desktop folder RM_User) from the 720 to the 730.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Halfway through the map update it stopped and seemed like it was not doing anything. I canceled the update so I could switch from wireless cable to wired cable. Now in Dock it is stuck on the Registration screen. I enter my name and submit but it comes back saying network error try again later. I did a back up just before I attempted the update but the dock won't go to that screen.

    I have the 520.

hi mark, I just updated to windows 10 and no longer can get the dock to work. I plug in my 730 to my laptop and shows charging but does not recognize it now. The dock will not even open. Checked the website but does not show that it works on windows 10. If this is the case how can we do updates? i have uninstalled and re installed, but no luck.

I have issues also with rerouting at stop signs(turns). and if i stop for fuel and start off again it recalculates and says i will be at destination within 5 miles. so i have to cancel the route and re do it.
