The difference tends to be much greater but i understand what you are saying.

Man I have fallen out of love with this thing. The mount keeps moving out of position despite tightening the adjusters as tight as i can meaning i an now looking at $40 RAM mounting option for a 2 week old $400 purchase and just today it was telling me a building number didn't exist for a particular street.

Luckily the co-pilot navigation on the Qualcomm found it.

I did not get a chance last week, I should be able to this week. I have all your E-mails still in my inbox.

I will look at the WalMart issue.

    Thanks,
    Mark

All GPS do a search this way. From your point of search unless you put it in a route it really has no idea what direction you would go to this POI. Since the search usually goes out a few hundred miles it is not realistic to do a search and route to each one to show truer mileage.

Which adjustment knob? I find that if you do not quite get it in the "groove" it will move around some.

As for building numbers, it was missing in the mapdata. This is not uncommon for addresses. If you want to PM me the info I can see if it is in the current map set under test.

    Thanks,
    Mark

There may have been an answer to this since I haven't been able to check my previous comment (heck can't remember if I even asked this) but on the tnd 80 you have the magnetic sick the unit attaches to. (Pretty darn strong magnet btw) the micro usb port on the dock, what is it used for? I plugged in power cord, but it didn't charge, figured since it has the contact points in the back of the unit and front of dock, that was an alternate means of charging.

Thanks Mark, I just started with JB Hunt, so I won't be home for awhile. I'll probably just send it in anyway. As I don't know how to do any of that stuff. Also we have Navigo, and I use the Garmin as back up. But I like the RM much better.

My TND 510 shows no GPS. It is stuck on someplace in Illinois. I live in Maryland. I purchased a newer unit but was wondering if it is worth sending in to be fixed so I can use as a backup. It was a great unit for 5 years. Really liked it. Hate to just throw it away. Never got me in trouble. I tried everything with no success.

Many issues with wife's TND 730. Getting Navi exe errors on regular basis, recalcs on it's own regularly, changes auto zoom settings on it's own, resets all her timers in the process.
Have deleted the Cache folder on on her laptop, downloaded new files through Dock, did a D/R, downloaded available updates did another D/R which showed no issues. This was 2 days ago and today she called me and the unit is doing the same as before. Recalc set to manual, auto zoom set to state level. Also yesterday in Jersey City it was routing her on NO Truck routes, so is this last Map Set screwed up????.This is on one of the replacement units you sent me.
    Any Ideas???????
    Thanks
    John

Mark, I was in/near Brentwood, CA. a week or two ago and my 720 was telling me to turn left onto a road that was repeatedly marked NO TRUCKS. While I have your attention, How often do you update?

No GPS will ever be perfect on truck routing. It's up to the drivers to be smarter than the GPS and pay attention.

I was pointing out an error so Mark is aware of it. I don't even know what to say to your reply to me. Other than duh.
