    Just to clarify...

If I give my home number it is with the understanding that a time/date will be arranged first before cold calling me.

I do not discuss the differences between Manufactures and Rand McNally. Since I work for RM it would be unethical.

If you wish to find information about the differences between Manufactures then there are a few businesses you can call. I know a few, but will not mention publically due to the fact that it might seem I am favoring one over another. If you wish you can send me a "conversation" and I will give you a few you can talk to.

I am basically your Tier 5 support. I will answer posted questions anytime on any RM Product and if I don't know the answer I can direct you to the right department at RM.

If you have an issue and not to tie up the thread I normally will take it to a "conversation" and from there will assist you via remoting into your unit or calling. I am not hiding anything from the public, but it is to keep the back/forth conversations down on the thread. I will gladly offer what I did to fix the issue if you ask.

If you have an issue and you are around the Statesville, NC area there is a Pilot on I-77 x42, a TA on I-40 x170, a Pilot on I-40 x133, a Gas station (truck parking) I-40 x135, Troy's I-40 x144 (limited truck parking), I am more than willing to pick you up and take you to my house so I can look at your TND or Tablet. This will be my home you will be taken to and respect should be afford to myself and my family. If enough time, their are many restaurants in the surrounding area.

This is a support thread and as such I respond normally at any time of the day to your needs. It is not an indication that the RM product has many issues. It is simply another outlet for you the driver to get your issue or questions answered during normal business hours or outside of normal business hours. I have been running the support thread since 2009. As with any other device you can Google and find many threads and forums for any product. This is on TTR since it is a respected website and the focus of many returns on searches.

    Thanks,
    Mark

When is RM going to include the I-75 closure in Detroit in an update? It's completely closed southbound from exit 45-37 until 11/2018.

    The w

I turned it on today and the temp seems to be normal. So the crisis is over. Just for your info this happened in the past and after a day or so I forget but it went back to normal then too. It just freaks out sometimes I guess. Weird I know. I was going take a picture Next time I will.

It was actually displaying "C". RM has opened a ticket on this.

    Thanks,

not sure if this has been covered here, but i haven't been able to get the dock program to open. running win 10 64-bit. i've uninstalled/reinstalled, did nothing. plugging in the unit doesn't bring it up either. Any ideas? Also, I have an issue that i posted here a while back with the screen being white with colored lines going across unless i squeeze the bottom of the unit.

are there any options to open the unit and fix or do i need to send it in for repair?

Issue 1 - Dock, did you turn off any Anti-Virus programs? The Dock will not install if they are on and you have not marked as a "Safe Site."

Issue 2 - How long ago did you buy and have you contacted Rand McNally CS in regards to this yet?

    Thanks,
    Mark

only have windows defender, which has been on here the entire time i've owned this gps and has only recently refused to run. i disabled it and excluded the dock but still doesn't work.
