    USB Cords -

The Rand USB Cable is thicker due to testing and finding it creates less resistance in high speed data transfer and thus less data lost.

Sometimes another USB cable will work, but for the most part they will not.

USB power Hubs. They supply a more high level of current 750ma to the device so the port will sense it more easily. DieselBoss is correct in that the newer computers (most are 64 bit now) do power sharing across all USB ports (Eco Mode). Normally I suggest you turn on your TND and connect it to the computer. Then turn on the computer to force the port to the higher power requirements.

I have found I have had to delete the ports out of the registry and reboot the computer to "clean" the ports again sometimes.

USB 2.0 ports are what you need, make sure they are the POWERED USB hubs that run on AC. IF you buy just a hub it will use the port voltage/current to power it.

I have seen some I5 processors not like the Rand USB cable, but love a 1 foot USB cable.

Or as suggested pins 2,3,4 on the USB connector on the unit are not making contact. You should be able to look into the connector and see 5 gold tips looking at you and just behind them a "hump". This is what get pushed down onto the connector on the USB Cable.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Does anyone know the procedure for sending in the trade-ins on the recent promo? Received my new 730 (so far so good) but there was nothing on sending back the trade in.

I knew about this one via a trucking magazine. The state bought it out to redo that interchange.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Just put your name/address on a piece of paper in the box you are shipping back.

    Thanks,
