Which dedicated account are you on and how is it, can you be an o/o or company only, can you run team, can you have a student? (miles, hometime, drop and hook, live unload, driver unload, etc)

Wow lots of questions. Let's see. I am on glr. As for teams or students you would have to ask then but threr are lots of students trained on it. Miles I get 2200 to 2800 a week with a high of 3300. I am home for a 34 reset and a little more every week. Seem I have done a little more otr and have seen one costco in a month but GLR covers more than costco. I have never unloaded a truck but you could. I would just prefer to use lumpers. Lots of drop and hook as well as live loads and unloads with plenty of layover pay. Depends on the situation. I've had a live load take 6 hours and a live unload take 8 hours. Goes with the job. Glr is great lakes regional. I have been in texas new york twice. South carolina at least 3 times vermont ect. I don't dedicated means that anymore but you could turn down work. I have had to take loads home for hometime on a sat that delivered sun morning then go back home. Loads home every week don't always happen like you want. Also I have only been solo for 3 months and it pays 34 cents a mile to me loaded or empty. That with the hometime are the only perks that I see everything else feel like otr. Hope this babling helped.

im in Exide batteries dedicated. its been great so far. i was fresh out of swift academy and got a 10 cent a mile raise. so i started at 35 cent instead of the 25. YOU can be a team driver or owner operator on this account. you cant be a mentor. I get on average 2200 to 2800 miles a week as well with 3350 being by high so far. i never have to unload anything. exide unloads and loads anything thats live. i alsodo alot of drop and hook.

Could be right away ... Gentleman who went through orientation with me trained on a dedicated. Then stayed on when he went solo.

Just read on the kiosk that Walmart is seeking 200 Swift owner ops to run dedicated out of three distribution centers down in Florida and Alabama. 97.5 cents per mile both ways says, but the pdf file fine print shows 81 cents empty. Make sure you get what is coming to you.

Used to get just about a weekly qc message looking for Dollar Tree dedicateds willing to unload the trailers in all weathers in exchange for more hometime/pay.

At this time I'm not interested in dedicated, still love the adventure of going where ever the freight blows me.

Pay for each account is different depending on the contract. I know company drivers running Kohls in Texas only get 31 cpm while the guys that run Target refrigerated out of Fort Worth get around 47 cpm. Home Depot and Sears in the Dallas area get 34 or 33 cpm.

Just check with the account manager for latest pay rates.
