not sure of the relevancy here and not meaning to hijack. I was called a troll and a naysayer so jus defending the point. Doc made his point of what his goals are and it's good enough for me and a dead issue.
But it yes we are hiring. But I do not divulge much personally on an open forum. It's just a policy of mine.
But my last 4 checks have all had commas in them.

Oh, we've all been there...!

Waiting on my laundry here at the Columbus terminal. ONe of my favorite terminals. By the way, price has gone up from $.25 to $.75. They still have 3 washers and 3 dryers though and all are functional.
Weird thing with that wiper issue I was having down in Phoenix, while sitting there waiting for the guy to take care of it it just stopped doing what it was doing. It stopped spraying and wiping and just went back to normal. Not sure what happened exactly but it fixed itself. I can't explain it. So I left the line and parked to wait for a load.
I had talked to another driver earlier near the shop. He was another Sumner driver. While I was waiting for a load and since I ran the truck bobtail through the truckwash, I figured I would get some exercise and stay busy with detailing the truck. The same driver drove up and we hung out talking while I detailed my truck. Kind of cool to actually converse a little with someone since I've been in a bubble of solitude lately.
I got a long load taking me east and then another couple of loads and I'm here in Columbus. I came inside to do some laundry and figure out a preplan they just sent me. I asked to stay rolling through the weekend. I'm trying to make up for that downtime in Phoenix when my truck was in the shop.
The preplan they sent me is a deadhead from here the Columbus terminal to Canadaugua, NY. I'm pretty sure I'm not spelling that right. And then I get a live load there taking me down to Virginia. It will keep me running over the weekend but I'm curious if I'll be driving into a frozen, snowy hell up there. -
It IS still a frozen hell here. This morning is was -4 degrees real temp. It is current a balmy 8 degrees.DocWatson Thanks this. -
Hmmmmm....apparently hell HAS frozen over.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
What are the roads like up there? Driveable off the interstate?
I still haven't accepted that preplan but I think I'm going to. I'm still in the terminal trying to get a hold of my DM to accept it for me.
I can make this load at 50 mph but if it goes slower than that I will be late. Live load and unload. That's why I'm asking about the road conditions. I can't seem to find much info online other than the weather forecast.
Thanks for any info.
haha....never could be more true. -
Another point about that load is that I just got a second p.p. sent to me that will have me picking up in N. Carolina (after this current p.p./load) and heading down to Laredo.
I really want these miles and to keep running
