2nd day was much better organized. Started at 7 am. Set up direct deposit.received log books and went over logging and e-logs. Was kinda boring, been doing it for awhile so really didnt learn anything, but it helped other guys. Took a couple tests on logs. Broke down into small groups and was assigned trainer for hands on. Bout 3 or 4 to each trainer. Not bad. Start driving tanker tomorrow,I am so ready. Spent half the day outside watching trainer couple and go thru pretrip. Gotta do everything the schneider way which is very professional and safe. The high temp in houston today was prob 45,windy with light rain. Not fun after being 75 on Tuesday. Had to climb on top of tanker and go from one end to the other and back down. 13ft off the ground.wasnt too bad. Some guys were not happy being up there. Also was isuued basic protective gear today which included hard hat w/ shield, safety glasses and gloves. Start driving tomorrow with tanker full of water. Have to finish homework tonight. Not alot just wanna go over pretrip and a few handouts before hitting the rack. Looks like lunch EVERYDAY consists of subway.im not gonna comment on that today. Take care yall and be safe out there !

Do they let you practice going up the ladder a few times to get used to being up there or is it a one time thing for the testing?

PreWork Screen - mostly, agility. Can you climb into and out of a trailer, do squats (dang it - I just did this and can't remember how many!), carry 30-40 lbs about 30', lift 30 lbs from floor to over your head, and there's a pull-strength thing, too; all without your pulse going over I think 110.

After being unemployed and doing very little during the winter, my thighs hated me for a couple days. Had I gone to orientation after the summer, when I'd been on my bike for days at a time, I would have been fine. If you've done much of anything besides sitting on your behind, you should be good to go :)

Also, Schneider will send a link in your orientation e-mail to a video that shows what you'll be doing during the PWS.

ETA: I dunno if it's different for bulk; I went through for dry van.

OK Thanks. At the present time I workout 5-6 times a week plus do construction so I hopefully will not have a problem. I just recently took my DOT physical and the nurse asked if he could borrow my arm next time they were going to take his bp(lol).
