I was looking at Carry and they have a terminal in DFW. I might look into at the end of the year. I want to see how this new business shakes out for us first. I have been running pretty good here lately, but man that vacation pay is ticking me off now that I am thinking about it.

I wouldn't work for a carrier that didn't pay holiday pay . I hope they at least give you gift cards at Christmas or do they just wish you "Happy (unpaid ) Holidays ?

Rob how is the future looking over there? What I mean is what are you hearing from management? Over here we have more freight than we can haul. One of the reasons for the bonus I think. Are you guys adding customers? Turning down freight? Just curious about the culture.
Over here, in case you wanted to know, business is booming. Freight has been awesome but we are getting to be a more regional based company. This is no secret as that is exactly what management has been saying all along. We are also trying to grow the intermodal market. Lots of new chassis have been purchased. Long haul still makes up the majority of the business but it is shrinking.
We recently had a conference call with the President and I liked what I heard for the most part. But growing the Dallas market is not going to be a priority and that is a big disappointment for me.
Anyway I would like to hear your response to this and your insight on what is happening over there at Superior.Twicebit Thanks this. -
I went in to the Salt Lake City terminal/yard/place and asked about the Tanker Division there and got Deer in the head light looks. I know that you guys don't run out of there per se, but I had hoped for a clue as to whether or not the tankers went through , heading west or whatnot. I don't need to be home for a while and don't mind staying out as long as I'm busy or have a goal in mind. I would like to put 5 years into tanker to see if I would like it to be the area I spend the next 20 years in. There are very limited options here for starting out fresh on a tanker. I may end up having to haul milk(if I can get hired on).
