The companies that usually advertise the most are mill trucking companies. The ones that don't usually advertise as much in the books at truck stops, and they get most of their recruits through monster jobs.com, careerbuilder, and indeed, or even craigslist. Here are a few that I know have good ratings.

    Millis Trucking
    Wel Company
    Southern Refrigerated
    Schneider
    H.O. Wolding
    Maverick
    Boyd Brothers
    TMC
    GTI
and there is quite a few more. The key here is to look and listen to what they offer, and then research to find out information from other drivers. You will have some drivers that rave and some drivers that will complain. You have to make the decision what is best for your situation. Everyone has to start out paying their dues for the first year, but make sure it is a company that gives you what you need for your situation.

    Elchery and SurfingTrucker Thank this.

Funny you listed some of the most successful companies as the worst.

It's all in the driver. I had 2 great years with USX. I think they are far from being considered a bad company.

The only ones that I know of is Roehl, Millis Trucking, and Central Refrigerated that offer schooling. You just need to call them and find out how their programs work. If you can try to go to a vocational school near you, but if you can't then those are probably about the 3 that I would look into.
