    Dear Diary

Today moosc provided me with what I can kinda consider, in a roudabout way, almost a halfway compliment.

That would be a back handed one LOL...What moosc has said has a lot of truth. It does take hard work and discipline and a lot of people do fail, but one thing I'm not going to do is get a brand new truck and sign a 3 year lease. I have changed my mind on th 2013 Cascadia. Nothing against the Cascadia, because I'm still looking at getting one, it's just going to be a 2011 or 2012 that I can do a 1 year lease and at the end hopefully finance it and have a monthly payment instead of a weekly one.I got an updated list from SFI and have my eye on a 2011 and a couple of 2012 Cascadia's that have a diesel apu and the upgraded package for a price I think is doable in my goal. Will I succeed? I hope so, but anything can happen and getting a brand new Evolution or something like that is not the way to go in my opinion. Get one you can lease for a year, still have some warranty left at a price you can work down in that year to get traditional financing. SFI has those trucks, you just have to be patient and not settle. Also don't be afraid of a little grease lol.

If no one can succeed in a LP situation, then there wouldn't be so many people that I have spoken with over the last 14 years that have been doing LP for a decade or more. You will always make more money with a conventional loan, but there are drivers that I have met and still speak with that pay the lease premium to not have to worry with the details. If someone is happy with what they're doing, why belittle them? Only a person unhappy with themselves can thrive on bringing unhappiness to those they interact with. Just my 2 cents. That may be all it's worth.

Is a goat ever considered to be happy? Just saying, when you think of happy animals, the goat isn't exactly at the top of the list.....

Oh, and one other thing. I can guarantee you I will complete my one year lease with SFI AND make more money than I ever made as a company driver. You can take that to the bank....

Aren't you almost there, sadwar? I mean, you've had a pretty good couple of weeks...might be about the same as what you made the 16 months you were a company driver! ;)
