Did anyone else update your Navigo to the new version? When I went through Charlotte a while back I got the USB stick from the fuel desk and updated my maps on the Qualcomm. Now, whenever I enter a location code into the "Where To" area, if I'm not on a road, it says "Navigo is unable to determine your current location. Please contact Navigo for support" or something similar. Never did that before the update. If I wait around until it says "dispatch updated" and then get the route from the dispatch screen, no problems. But, sometimes I don't want to sit around and wait for it, I like to enter the customer code and see the route it wants me to take so I can have a look and see if its a decent route or not. Ideas?
I wonder if the update fixes:

Not that I've been doing it long enough to really know the patterns, there in south GA they really seem to come and go. From what I've seen there will be a bunch of loads that pop up that pay good going to/from the area, then the next week its just DEAD. Guess that can be said for just about any area of the Southeast though.
Frito-Lay is generally good - light loads, pay good.
I've never delivered directly to Miller/Coors, but I've taken cans down there to a warehouse that I'm sure stores them for Miller/Coors. Those pay good and are really light too.
P&G loads I avoid like they plague because they usually weigh 134173402lbs. However, if I can grab one of their light loads I'll do it, because they are a good no-fuss in and out customer.
I'm sure there are many IC's that don't mind running the heavy loads and do just fine. I just don't have the patience for it. Don't want to waste my time scaling, don't want to waste my time worrying about if my already heavy truck is gonna be able to legally pull the load, don't want to waste time climbing hills. 10,000bs, shift a few gears throw that splitter up into overdrive and thats IT FOR THE DAY. -
It's dead in the southeast, because no one wants to run up north. I don't pull heavy loads, I usually will book a load before I head south. But my loads got canceled, so the picking are very slim. I got a load out of Albany headed to Hudson, oh 13k lbs. then I booked a load out of Navarre, oh to Kathleen, GA 6lbs.

Man, I live in Albany. Actually, finding freight out usually isn't the problem, it's finding freight to get back home that kind stinks. But, hey, it is what it is......that's why they call it "The Good Life City"

Reading these comments sounds much like my 1 1/2 yrs. as and o/o with my own authority.Second load always got cancelled, and I often thought the brokers had me profiled and knew when I wanted to go home there wasn't anything going that way.
rickybobby Thanks this. -
Ok help me go over my list here to make sure I've got everything taken care of - I'm at home for a reset here and trying to get all caught up:
1. IFTA Stickers - whatever they mailed the house walked off. Like literally grew legs and just disappeared. I know I saw it. I know it was sitting on the counter. Or I put it in my truck. Maybe. Or not. It was too cold to put the stickers on, si I put them somewhere... AND ITS GONE. Anyway, lol, I called permits, they're emailing me the permit that I can print out and put in my book to be legal, and I'll pick up stickers at an OC before the end of January.
2. New NY HUT sticker - already put that on
3. Self Certify - gonna get that done right now
4. Review new lease agreement and sign and mail it back - believe this is due by Mar 2014?
5. 1st quarter sustainment training on Crossroads - will try it at home, but as usually will probably have to be done at an OC
That everything? I feel like I'm missing something... -
Try Firefox browser. And don't forget the old number 7

"Man I hate PA screw PA I'm never going back to PA again"
aaaaand guess where I'm headed tomorrow LOL.
I'll leave for Charlotte later tomorrow morning, pick up a load headed for Carlisle, PA tomorrow afternoon. Then, grab a relay out of the Carlisle OC and bring it back down here to Greensboro, NC.
All told those 2 runs will pay $1.76 per actual mile (zip to zip according to truckmiles.com), so couldn't pass it up. -
Violation and Review.....I did the same exercise 2 weeks ago
